Call your landing page tests instead of letting them run forever

Every Monday, WebRun opens Instapage, reads every running A/B test with its variant traffic and conversion rates, works out which tests have collected enough visitors to be worth calling, appends the week's numbers to an Airtable experiment log, and opens a Trello card for each test that is ready for a decision.

In short

How do I know when a landing page A/B test is ready to call?

WebRun reads your Instapage experiments every Monday. It captures visitors, conversions, and conversion rate for each variant, marks the tests that have passed your visitor and run-time thresholds, appends the week to an Airtable log, and opens a Trello decision card for each test ready to call.

  • Tests get called on a threshold instead of a hunch
  • Every experiment keeps a week-by-week history in Airtable
  • Winning variants reach the board the week they are ready

Step by step

What does WebRun do on every run?

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.

  1. WebRun signs in and gets to work

Opens app.instapage.com in a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys.

  2. 1
Instapage - read every running A/B test
    instapage.com
WebRun in Instapage: read every running A/B test
WebRun opens Instapage to read every running A/B test.
    • Sign in to Instapage and open the list of published landing pages with an active experiment
    • For each test, capture the variant names, visitors, conversions, and conversion rate
    • Record how many days the test has been running and the total visitors collected
    • Mark tests that have passed the visitor count and run time you set as your calling threshold
    • Note the leading variant and the gap to the control

Done when Every running test has its variant numbers and a ready or not-ready mark.

  3. 2
Airtable - log the week's variant numbers
    airtable.com How to Automate Airtable
WebRun in Airtable: log the week's variant numbers
WebRun opens Airtable to log the week's variant numbers.
    • Open your experiment log base in Airtable
    • Append this week's row per test with visitors, conversions, rate per variant, and days running
    • Keep previous weeks intact so each test has a visible history rather than one snapshot
    • Update the test status field to running, ready to call, or called

Done when This week's numbers are appended for every test and statuses are current.

  4. 3
Trello - open a decision card per ready test
    trello.com How to Automate Trello
WebRun in Trello: open a decision card per ready test
WebRun opens Trello to open a decision card per ready test.
    • Open your marketing board and check for an existing card for that test
    • Create a decision card for each test that hit the calling threshold this week
    • Put the variant rates, the visitor counts, the days running, and the Airtable link in the description
    • Leave the call itself to a person. WebRun never stops a test or publishes a variant

Done when Every test ready to call has one decision card waiting on the board.

Questions, answered

Will it stop a test or publish the winning variant?

No. WebRun reads the results and opens a decision card. Ending a test, changing traffic split, or publishing a variant is always done by a person in Instapage.

How does it decide a test is ready to call?

It uses the minimum visitor count and minimum run time you set, so tests are not called off a few dozen visitors or left running for months out of habit.

Does it change anything on my landing pages?

No. The pages themselves are read only. WebRun writes to your own Airtable log and Trello board and nowhere else.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
