Route abnormal scan findings to the right specialist fast

Each morning, WebRun opens Sonio, finds finalized reports carrying an abnormal or flagged finding, drafts a referral note in Outlook to the appropriate specialist for a clinician to approve and send, and posts the MFM team a Slack summary so every finding is routed the same day.

In short

How do I route abnormal ultrasound findings to specialists quickly and safely?

WebRun opens Sonio each morning and finds finalized reports with an abnormal or flagged finding. It matches each to your referral pathway, drafts a specialist referral in Outlook left unsent for a clinician to approve, and posts the MFM team a Slack summary ranked by urgency, so no flagged finding waits and no data leaves without approval.

  • Flagged findings reach the right specialist the same day, not next week
  • Clinicians approve a ready referral instead of writing each one from scratch
  • No protected health information leaves the clinic without human approval

    • Summarize the finding and the reason for referral clearly and professionally
    • Attach nothing and share no protected health information beyond the note until a clinician approves it

Done when A referral note is drafted in Outlook for each flagged finding, awaiting clinician approval.

  4. 3
Slack - alert the MFM team
    slack.com How to Automate Slack
WebRun in Slack: alert the MFM team

    • Post an internal Slack summary to the MFM team of the day's flagged findings
    • For each, name the referral destination and whether a draft is ready, using patient initials only
    • Put the most time-sensitive findings first so a clinician can approve and send quickly

Done when The MFM team has a same-day Slack list of flagged findings and their referral status.

Questions, answered

Will it send patient information to an outside specialist on its own?

No. WebRun drafts the referral in Outlook and leaves it unsent. A clinician reviews it, confirms the wording and the recipient, and sends it, so no protected health information leaves the clinic without human approval.

How does it decide a finding needs a referral?

It reads each finalized Sonio report for an abnormal finding or a flag that your referral pathways call for, then matches it to the right specialty. You define which findings and destinations it should route in the plan.

What if the same finding was already referred?

It only reads reports finalized since the last run, so a finding already handled is not routed again. The Slack summary also shows each item's status so your team can see what is already in progress.

Put this on autopilot.
