Check your supply items are available before you order

Every Monday, WebRun opens Costco, looks up each item on your standing supply list, reads whether it is in stock, what it costs now, and which delivery options are offered, updates the order list in Notion with the changes, and posts the items needing a substitute to your WhatsApp team group before anyone places the order.

In short

How do I check my regular supply items are in stock before ordering?

WebRun opens Costco every Monday and checks each item on your standing supply list, reading whether it is in stock, what it costs now, and which delivery options are offered. It updates the order list in Notion and posts the substitutions needed to your WhatsApp team group before you order.

  • Substitutes are decided before the order, not after a gap appears
  • Price movements on regular items are caught the week they happen
  • The weekly order starts from a checked list instead of last week's guess

Step by step

What does WebRun do on every run?

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.

  1. WebRun signs in and gets to work

Opens costco.com in a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys.

  2. 1
Costco - check stock and prices
    • Open Costco and look up each item on your standing supply list
    • Record whether the item is available, out of stock, or unavailable for your delivery area
    • Read the current price and compare it with what you paid on the last order
    • Note the delivery options offered for the items that are available
    • Check nothing into the cart. WebRun never adds items, never checks out, and never places an order

Done when Every item on the list has a stock status, a current price, and a delivery option.

  3. 2
Notion - update the order list

WebRun in Notion: update the order list
WebRun opens Notion to update the order list.
    • Open the supply list database in Notion
    • Update each item with this week's stock status, current price, and delivery option
    • Mark the items that have moved in price since the last order, up or down
    • Add a note against anything out of stock so the history shows how often it happens

Done when The Notion order list reflects what is actually available this week.

  4. 3
WhatsApp - flag what needs a substitute
    whatsapp.com How to Automate WhatsApp
WebRun in WhatsApp: flag what needs a substitute
WebRun opens WhatsApp to flag what needs a substitute.
    • Post the team group the items that are out of stock or have moved in price
    • Say which of them you order every week, so the important gaps are obvious
    • Ask for a substitute decision on each one and leave the ordering to whoever places it
    • Post to your own team group only. WebRun never messages a supplier or a customer

Done when The team knows what needs a substitute before the order goes in.

Questions, answered

Will it place the order or pay for anything?

No. WebRun checks availability and prices and writes them into your list. It never adds an item to the cart, never checks out, and never uses a payment method. Ordering stays a person's decision.

How does it know what my standing list is?

It reads the supply list database you keep in Notion. Add or remove an item there and the next Monday check follows the new list, so the routine matches what you actually order.

Does it suggest substitutes itself?

It flags what is unavailable and asks the team to choose. WebRun does not silently swap an item, because the right substitute depends on your recipe, your customers, or your contract.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
