How does it define a lane in YardView?

It uses the dock-door groupings as configured in YardView. If your facility groups doors by receiving, shipping, and returns lanes, the digest respects those groupings.

Can it recommend how to redistribute load volume between lanes?

WebRun flags the over and under-utilized lanes in the digest. Redistribution decisions are made by your scheduling team based on the capacity view - WebRun does not automatically reassign appointments.

Does it look at the coming week or the prior week?

It analyzes the prior week to spot utilization patterns, and it can also pull forward bookings for the current week if they are already in YardView so your team can compare booked versus historical capacity.
