Questions, answered
Does Shopify have cost of goods data needed for margin calculations?
Yes, if you have entered the cost per item in each product variant. WebRun reads that cost field from Shopify to calculate gross margin. If cost is not entered, it can still report revenue by channel and note where cost data is missing.
Why do in-store and online margins often differ?
Common causes include different pricing, discounts, channel fees, and product mix. The report surfaces the gap so your team can investigate and decide whether to adjust pricing or product allocation per channel.
Can I get this for individual POS locations rather than all POS combined?
Yes. Ask WebRun to break the POS data down by location during setup and the report will show margin per store alongside the online channel.
