Price used vinyl trade-ins with live market data
When you drop in a list of records offered for trade, WebRun looks each one up in Common Ground to see if you already stock it, pulls the recent sold-price range from Discogs, and builds a Google Sheet with a suggested buy price and resale price per record so your buyer can make fast, consistent offers at the counter.

How do I price used vinyl trade-ins using live market data?
WebRun turns a stack of trade-ins into a priced buy sheet. For each record offered, it checks your current stock in Common Ground, pulls the recent sold-price range from Discogs, and builds a Google Sheet suggesting a buy and resale price. Your buyer approves every offer, so counter pricing stays fast, fair, and consistent.
- Counter offers are backed by live Discogs sold prices, not guesswork
- Overstocked titles get a lower offer so cash is not tied up
- Buy pricing stays consistent across every staff member

1
Common Ground - check current stock and shelf price
WebRun checks each trade-in against your Common Ground stock. - Read the list of records offered for trade from your upload
- Open Common Ground and check whether each title is already in stock and at what shelf price
- Note how many copies you already hold so overstocked titles can be offered less
Done when Every offered record is checked against your current Common Ground stock and price.
-
2
Discogs - pull recent sold-price range
WebRun pulls each title's recent sold-price range from Discogs. - Look up each release on Discogs by catalog number and pressing
- Read the recent sold-price range and the median for the matching condition grade
- Record the low, median, and high recent sale for each title
Done when Every offered record has a recent Discogs sold-price range attached.
-
3
Google Sheets - build the suggested buy sheet
WebRun builds a suggested buy sheet for the buyer to approve. - Build a buy sheet with one row per record: title, condition, Discogs median, and your current stock
- Suggest a buy price using your cash and store-credit percentages of the market median
- Suggest a resale shelf price, lowering it for titles you already overstock
- Leave the sheet as a recommendation for your buyer to adjust and approve
Done when The buy sheet lists a suggested buy and resale price for every offered record.

Questions, answered
Does it make the offer to the customer itself?
No. WebRun only prepares a suggested buy sheet for your buyer. The person at the counter decides the final offer and what to say, so the customer never gets an automated price.
How does it set the suggested buy price?
It applies your own cash and store-credit percentages to the recent Discogs median for the matching condition. You set those percentages once, and WebRun uses them consistently on every trade-in.
What about a record you are already overstocked on?
It reads your live Common Ground stock, so titles you already hold in depth get a lower suggested buy and resale price, helping you avoid tying up cash in slow bins.
