Never pick a block before its preharvest interval clears

Every morning, WebRun opens Croptracker, checks every block's scheduled harvest date against the preharvest interval of its most recent spray application, and messages the harvest manager on WhatsApp the moment a block is scheduled to be picked before it's legally clear to harvest.

In short

How do I make sure no block gets picked before its preharvest interval clears?

WebRun checks every scheduled harvest date in Croptracker each morning against the preharvest interval of the block's most recent spray application. If a block is set to be picked before it's legally clear, it messages the harvest manager on WhatsApp immediately, naming the block and the date it actually clears, so no fruit gets picked too soon.

  • No block gets scheduled for picking before it's legally clear
  • Harvest managers get a same morning WhatsApp alert, not a shipped lot problem later
  • Clear to harvest dates come from the actual product label, not guesswork

Questions, answered

How is this different from a re-entry interval check?

A re-entry interval governs when workers can walk back into a sprayed block. This checks the preharvest interval instead, the minimum time between a spray application and legally picking the fruit, so it protects against harvesting too soon rather than entering too soon.

Will it change the harvest schedule?

No. It cannot edit your harvest schedule in Croptracker. It only compares the scheduled date against the calculated clear to harvest date and messages the harvest manager if there's a conflict, so a person decides whether to push the date.

What if a block has had more than one spray application?

It calculates the clear to harvest date from whichever recent application has the longest preharvest interval still running, so the block stays on hold until every application is clear.
