Watch your key lane rates so you never quote blind

Every Monday, WebRun opens DAT One, pulls the spot rate trend for each of your configured key lanes over the past 7 days, logs the weekly rates to a Google Sheets history tracker, and posts a Slack digest showing which lanes are rising, falling, or stable so your team quotes from current data.

In short

How do I automatically track DAT spot rate trends on my key lanes?

WebRun pulls spot rate trends from DAT One every Monday for your configured key lanes, including rate direction and load-to-truck ratio. It logs the weekly data to Google Sheets for a rolling history and posts a Slack digest with the biggest movers first, so every broker quotes from this week's real market data instead of guessing.

  • Team quotes from this week's DAT spot rates, not last month's memory
  • Rate movements above threshold flagged immediately in Slack
  • Growing lane rate history in Google Sheets for seasonal benchmarking

Questions, answered

Which lanes does it track?

It tracks the lanes you configure, typically your top 10 to 20 highest-volume origin-destination pairs. You can add or remove lanes in the setup without changing anything else.

What is the load-to-truck ratio and why does it matter?

The load-to-truck ratio is a DAT metric showing how many available loads exist per available truck on a lane. A high ratio means tight capacity and rising rates; a low ratio means loose capacity and rate pressure, which helps your team quote more accurately.

Does the history stay in Google Sheets indefinitely?

Yes. Each Monday's rates are appended as new rows, so you build a growing history you can use to spot seasonal trends and benchmark contract rates against the spot market.

Put this on autopilot.
