Draft lab result updates for owners once the vet signs off

Every morning, WebRun opens ThoroVet, finds lab results returned since the last run such as bloodwork, fecal egg counts, or cultures, matches each to its horse and owner, drafts a plain-language update email in Gmail for normal results, flags abnormal ones for the veterinarian, and posts the team a Slack summary of what is ready to review.

In short

How do I automatically notify owners of their horse's lab results?

WebRun watches ThoroVet each morning for returned lab results, matches each to its horse and owner, and drafts a plain-language update email in Gmail for normal results. Abnormal results are flagged for the veterinarian, and a Slack summary shows what is ready, so owners hear back promptly only after professional review.

  • Owners get normal results promptly once the vet approves
  • Abnormal results always route to the veterinarian first
  • No clinical values are posted to internal chat

Step by step

What does WebRun do on every run?

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.

  1. WebRun signs in and gets to work

Opens app.thorovet.com in a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys.

    • Do not draft owner emails for abnormal results. Leave those for the veterinarian

Done when The team has a Slack summary of results ready to send and results needing the vet.

Questions, answered

Will it send lab results to owners on its own?

No. Every owner update is drafted and left unsent in Gmail for review. No result reaches an owner until a person approves it, and no protected health information leaves your practice without sign-off.

What happens with an abnormal result?

Abnormal or out-of-range results are never auto-drafted to the owner. WebRun flags them for the veterinarian to interpret and handle personally, since those often need a treatment plan or a direct conversation.

Does the Slack summary expose clinical values?

No. The Slack summary only notes which results are ready to review and which are flagged for the vet. Full clinical values stay in ThoroVet, so sensitive detail is not posted to a chat channel.
