Clear the leave requests waiting on a manager

Every morning, WebRun opens Employment Hero, lists every leave request submitted and not yet approved or declined, reads each employee's remaining balance and checks whether the dates clash with someone else already off, posts the queue to Slack ordered by how long each has waited, and nudges the responsible managers on Telegram.

In short

How do I clear pending leave requests waiting on managers?

WebRun lists every pending Employment Hero leave request each morning, adding the employee's remaining balance and any overlap with leave already approved. It posts the queue to Slack in wait order and nudges each manager on Telegram, so staff get an answer in a day instead of a week.

  • Pending requests are visible daily, in order of how long they waited
  • Managers see the balance and any clash before deciding
  • Requests starting within two weeks are marked urgent automatically

    • Check the same dates against approved leave for the rest of the team and flag any clash

Questions, answered

Will it approve or decline leave on its own?

No. WebRun never approves, declines, or edits a leave request. It gathers the balance and any clash so a manager decides faster, and every decision is still made by a person in Employment Hero.

Does it email the employee?

No. WebRun only posts internal notes to your own Slack channel and Telegram. The employee hears the outcome from their manager through Employment Hero as usual.

What is a roster clash?

It is when the requested dates overlap leave already approved for someone else on the same team, so the manager sees the coverage problem before saying yes rather than after.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
