Cut driving-lesson no-shows
Each morning, WebRun opens Acuity Scheduling, finds lessons booked for the next 24 hours, and drafts a personalised SMS reminder for each student in Twilio. The messages are left unsent for a staff member to review and approve before dispatch. A Slack post lists the day's upcoming lessons so the office stays informed.

How do I send automated lesson reminders to driving students?
WebRun checks Acuity Scheduling each morning for lessons in the next 24 hours, drafts a personalised SMS reminder for each student in Twilio, and posts a lesson digest to Slack. All texts are left unsent for staff to review and approve, reducing no-shows without messaging anyone without human sign-off.
- Fewer no-shows from students who simply forgot their lesson
- Every reminder reviewed by a human before it reaches a student
- Office sees the full day's lesson list in Slack each morning

Questions, answered
Will it send texts to students without my approval?
No. WebRun drafts every reminder in Twilio and leaves it unsent. A staff member reviews the queue and approves each message before any text reaches a student.
How far in advance does it prepare the reminders?
Each morning it looks ahead 24 hours, so lessons booked for the following day get their draft reminder prepared the morning before, giving your team time to review and send.
What happens if a student cancels after the draft is prepared?
WebRun reads live appointment data from Acuity Scheduling each morning. Cancellations processed before the daily run are skipped. Staff should check the Twilio queue against Acuity before approving.
