Warn you before Canto asset usage rights expire

Every morning, WebRun opens Canto, checks brand assets for usage rights or licenses that expire within the next thirty days, logs each one on a Trello board so the team can track what needs replacing, and posts an alert to Microsoft Teams so nobody publishes an asset whose usage rights already lapsed.

In short

How do I avoid using a Canto brand asset after its usage rights expire?

WebRun checks Canto every morning for brand assets whose usage rights expire within thirty days, logs them on a Trello renewal board, and posts a Microsoft Teams alert once expiry is within a week. Teams get an early warning instead of discovering an asset usage rights lapsed after it was already published again.

  • Expiring usage rights get flagged thirty days out, not after the fact
  • Legal exposure from an expired asset drops sharply
  • The renewal board shows exactly what needs replacing and by when

Good to know

Questions, answered

Does it remove or replace the asset itself?

No. WebRun only flags assets with rights nearing expiration and tracks them on Trello. Replacing or renewing a license is always a manual decision.

How does it know an asset usage rights are expiring?

It reads the expiration date recorded on the asset in Canto. Assets without a date on file are not flagged.

What happens if we keep using an asset past expiry?

WebRun cannot stop that on its own. Its job is to warn early enough, at thirty and seven days out, that the team can act before it happens.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
