In short

How do I make sure every cannabis wholesale shipment has a filed Metrc manifest?

WebRun checks Trym every morning for every wholesale shipment scheduled to leave that day, then looks up each one in Metrc to confirm a transfer manifest is filed and submitted, not just drafted. It posts your compliance team a Slack alert listing any shipment without a filed manifest, so nothing leaves the facility without paperwork the state has on record.

  • Every shipment is checked for a filed manifest before the truck is loaded
  • Draft-only manifests get caught, not just missing ones
  • Compliance team starts the day with one status list instead of checking each shipment by hand

Step by step

What does WebRun do on every run?

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.

  1. WebRun signs in and gets to work

Opens trym.io in a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys.

  2. 1
Trym - find today's scheduled shipments
    trym.io How to Automate Trym
WebRun in Trym: find today's scheduled shipments
WebRun opens Trym to find today's scheduled shipments.
    • Open Trym and list every wholesale shipment scheduled to leave today
    • Capture the destination license, product, quantity, and scheduled departure time for each
    • Note the package tags tied to each shipment

Done when Every shipment scheduled for today is listed with its tags and destination.

  3. 2
Metrc - check for a filed manifest
    metrc.com
WebRun in Metrc: check for a filed manifest
WebRun opens Metrc to check for a filed manifest.
    • Search Metrc for an outgoing transfer manifest matching each shipment's package tags
    • Confirm the manifest is filed, not just drafted, and the destination license matches
    • Flag any shipment with no matching manifest, or a manifest still in draft status

Done when Every scheduled shipment has been checked for a filed Metrc manifest.

  4. 3
Slack - alert on any unfiled manifest
    slack.com How to Automate Slack
WebRun in Slack: alert on any unfiled manifest
WebRun opens Slack to alert on any unfiled manifest.
    • Post today's shipment list to the compliance channel with a filed or unfiled status on each
    • Put unfiled shipments at the top so they get filed before the truck leaves
    • Leave the actual filing in Metrc to a licensed employee. WebRun never files a manifest itself

Done when Your compliance team has today's manifest status for every shipment before departure.

Good to know

Questions, answered

Will it file the Metrc manifest for me?

No. WebRun only checks whether a manifest already exists and flags the ones that don't. Filing a transfer manifest in Metrc stays a licensed employee's action.

How far ahead does it check shipments?

It checks shipments scheduled for the current day each morning, so unfiled manifests get caught before the truck is loaded, not after it has already left.

What if a manifest is filed but still in draft status in Metrc?

It flags that shipment too. A drafted manifest is not the same as a submitted one, and only a submitted manifest lets the transfer legally move.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
