In short

How can I automatically track whether outbound referrals have received a response at my birth center?

WebRun opens Maternity Neighborhood every Monday, finds outbound referrals sent in the past 30 days without a returned result, logs open items by aging to a Google Sheet, and posts a care-team digest to Slack. Follow-up with external providers is handled by your midwives. Client PHI stays inside HIPAA-compliant systems.

  • No outbound referral goes untracked past 14 days without a care-team flag
  • Care team has a weekly referral status update without manual chart review
  • Google Sheet aging data shows patterns in slow-responding specialist or lab partners

Questions, answered

Will it contact the specialist or lab on my behalf to request results?

No. WebRun tracks the open referral and surfaces it to your care team, but all follow-up with external providers is done by your midwives or care coordinators. PHI is not shared externally.

How does it know whether a referral result has been received?

It checks Maternity Neighborhood for a linked result or response document on each referral record. If no response is on file, the referral stays on the open list.

Does the Slack digest or Google Sheet contain patient health information?

The Slack digest uses counts and provider types only. The Google Sheet uses record IDs, not client names. Full referral details, including PHI, remain inside Maternity Neighborhood.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
