Route escalated AML cases to the right approver automatically
Every hour, WebRun checks Unit21 for cases newly marked as escalated, reads each case's type and risk tier, matches it to the right senior compliance officer or committee using your routing matrix, and drafts an escalation notification in Gmail for a compliance manager to review and send before it reaches the approver.

How do I automatically route escalated AML cases to the right approver?
WebRun checks Unit21 every hour for newly escalated cases, matches each case to the correct senior approver using your routing matrix, and drafts an escalation notification in Gmail with full case details and a link. It then alerts a compliance manager in Slack to review and approve each draft before it is sent, keeping a human in the loop for every escalation.
- Escalated cases reach the right approver without manual routing decisions
- Every outbound notification is reviewed by a compliance manager before it is sent
- Routing errors are caught in the Gmail draft stage, not after the email lands
Built for AML compliance managers · BSA officers · compliance committees · fintechs · banks

How is each run configured?
Secure by default
Connect once, stays signed in
WebRun signs in once and keeps each session in a persistent environment, so every run picks up right where it left off.
Every action is checked against this policy before it runs.
Questions, answered
Will it send the escalation email without approval?
No. Every escalation notification is drafted and left unsent in Gmail. A compliance manager reviews the draft and sends it manually. Nothing reaches the approver without a human in the loop.
How does it know which approver to route to?
It applies your routing matrix, which you configure once in WebRun: for example, high-risk SAR cases go to the BSA officer, sanctions cases go to the compliance committee, and so on.
What if a case was already escalated in a previous run?
It checks the timestamp of the status change and only processes cases that were escalated since the last run, so no duplicate drafts are created.
