Catch an unexpected jump in your Vonage bill

Every Monday, WebRun signs in to the Vonage admin portal, opens the invoices and usage pages, compares this period's charges against the last few, works out which line moved and which extension or phone number drove it, writes the comparison into Notion, and posts a short note to Microsoft Teams.

In short

How do I find out why my Vonage bill went up?

WebRun watches your Vonage bill every Monday. It signs in to the admin portal, reads the invoices and usage pages, compares each charge line against previous periods, identifies the extension or number behind any jump, records the history in Notion, and posts the finding to Microsoft Teams.

  • A misdialed international number is questioned the same week
  • Every charge line carries a change against the previous period
  • Forgotten add-ons surface instead of renewing quietly

Step by step

What does WebRun do on every run?

The exact actions WebRun takes, in order - in plain language, so you can adjust anything.

  1. WebRun signs in and gets to work

Opens admin.vonage.com in a real browser with your saved login - no setup, no API keys.

    • Add this week's row to the billing history page: total, each charge line, and the change
    • Note which extension or phone number sat behind any line that moved
    • Keep the previous weeks in place so the trend stays readable

Done when The Notion billing page carries this week's figures next to the history.

  4. 3
Microsoft Teams - post what moved
microsoft.com How to Automate Microsoft Teams
WebRun in Microsoft Teams: post what moved
WebRun opens Microsoft Teams to post what moved.
    • Post a short note to the operations channel naming the lines that moved and by how much
    • Call out international call charges and any new add-on separately
    • Link the Notion page for the full history
    • Never change a plan, cancel a number, or pay an invoice: WebRun reports the numbers only

Done when The channel has this week's billing note with the lines that moved.

Questions, answered

Can it change my plan or cancel a number?

No. WebRun only reads the invoices and usage pages. Cancelling a number, dropping an add-on, or paying an invoice stays with your account administrator.

How big a jump does it report?

You set the threshold, for example any charge line moving more than ten percent or more than a fixed amount. Anything under it is still recorded in Notion but does not get a Teams post.

Does it show which extension caused the jump?

Yes. It reads the per-extension and per-number usage alongside the invoice, so the note names the extension or phone number behind the line that moved, not just the total.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
