Close out your Toast cash drawer with a clean reconciliation every night

Every night after close, WebRun opens Toast's cash management report, compares the expected cash amount to the declared amount for each drawer, calculates the variance, and logs the result to your cash-reconciliation Google Sheet with a flag on any shift that is over or short.

In short

How do I automatically reconcile Toast POS cash drawers every night?

WebRun opens Toast's cash management report every night after close, reads the expected and declared cash amounts for each drawer, calculates the variance, and appends the result to a Google Sheet with any over or short amounts flagged. Your nightly cash reconciliation is done automatically before anyone comes in the next morning.

  • Nightly cash variances are logged before anyone arrives the next morning
  • Discrepancies above threshold are flagged automatically in the sheet
  • Monthly running totals maintained with no manual entry

Questions, answered

Will it make any changes to Toast or move any money?

No. WebRun only reads the cash management data and logs it. No changes are made to Toast and no funds are moved.

What counts as an acceptable variance?

You set the threshold during setup, for example plus or minus $5, and WebRun flags anything beyond it. You can adjust the threshold at any time.

Can I give my accountant access to the Google Sheet?

Yes. You control sharing on the Google Sheet independently. WebRun only writes to the sheet and never changes its sharing settings.
