In short

How do I check a podcast episode actually published before I promote it?

WebRun opens Simplecast each morning and checks the episode that was due to publish. It confirms the status is live, that show notes and artwork are present, and that the web player loads, then posts a go or no go to Slack and drafts the producer a fix list in Gmail.

  • The promo email never points at an episode that did not land
  • Missing artwork or notes are named before listeners see them
  • The team gets a one line verdict in Slack every publish day

What does WebRun do on every run?

Questions, answered

Will it publish or edit the episode itself?

No. WebRun only reads the episode in Simplecast and reports what it found. Publishing, fixing artwork, or editing show notes stays with the producer.

Does it email anyone automatically?

Only the internal Slack post goes out on its own. The fix list to the producer is left as a Gmail draft, and WebRun never emails guests or a listener list.

What exactly does it check?

Four things: that the episode status is live rather than scheduled or draft, that show notes and artwork are present, that the numbering is filled in, and that the web player actually loads and plays.

Put this on autopilot.

Turn it on in minutes - or have our team set it up for you.
