Push open rounding action items to closure before they go stale
Every morning, WebRun opens NRC Health Rounding to find rounding action items past their due date, texts the assigned owner through Twilio a same-day reminder to close or update it, and triggers a PagerDuty escalation to the unit director's on-call rotation for anything still open after 72 hours.

How do I make sure rounding action items actually get closed instead of going stale?
WebRun checks NRC Health Rounding every morning for rounding action items past their due date, texts each owner through Twilio a same-day reminder to close or update it, and escalates anything still open after 72 hours to the unit director's on-call through PagerDuty. Action items created during a round get closed instead of quietly going stale.
- Overdue action items get a same-day nudge instead of sitting untouched
- Anything stuck past 72 hours reaches the unit director automatically
- No owner is texted more than once a day for the same item
Built for unit directors · nurse managers · chief nursing officers · patient experience teams

Every action is checked against this policy before it runs.
Questions, answered
Does the patient know their action item is overdue?
No. Both the reminder and the escalation stay entirely internal, to the item's owner and the unit director's on-call. The patient is never contacted about it.
What happens after 72 hours if the item still isn't closed?
It escalates once through PagerDuty to the unit director's on-call rotation. It won't page again for the same breach, so the director isn't paged repeatedly for one item.
Can the reminder and escalation windows be changed?
Yes. Set your own same-day reminder cadence and your own escalation window instead of the 72 hour default, and WebRun will follow whatever you set.
