Never let a live job ad expire mid-hire

Every Monday, WebRun opens your Reed recruiter account, lists every live job ad with its posting date, expiry date, view count and application count, works out which ads expire in the next fortnight and which are drawing views but no applications, records it all in Airtable, and posts a renewal decision list to Microsoft Teams for the hiring managers.

In short

How do I track which job ads are expiring and underperforming?

WebRun reviews your live Reed job ads every Monday, recording each one's expiry date, view count and application count. It keeps the register in Airtable with a week on week history, then posts a renewal decision list to Microsoft Teams naming the ads expiring within 14 days and the ones attracting views but no applicants.

  • No live vacancy goes dark because an ad expired unnoticed
  • Ads with views but no applications are flagged as a copy or salary problem
  • Every ad carries a week on week view and application trend

What does WebRun do on every run?

    • Flag ads with plenty of views but very few applications, since the description or salary is usually the problem
    • Flag ads with almost no views, since those usually need a title or category change

    • Mark ads that have expired or been filled since the last run as closed rather than deleting them
    • Add a view sorted by days to expiry so the urgent renewals sit at the top

    • Never repost, extend, edit or delete a job ad, and never message a candidate. Every one of those is public or costs money

Done when Hiring managers have this week's expiry and performance list in Microsoft Teams.

Questions, answered

Will it repost or extend job ads on its own?

No. Reposting or extending an ad is a public listing that usually costs credit, so WebRun never does it. It reports which ads expire when, and a hiring manager makes the renewal call in Reed.

Does it contact candidates?

No. WebRun reads counts and dates from your recruiter account. It never opens a candidate message thread, never sends an application response and never downloads a CV.

How does it judge whether an ad is underperforming?

By comparing views against applications. Plenty of views with few applications usually points at the description or the salary. Almost no views usually points at the title or the category, so the two problems are reported separately.

Put this on autopilot.
