How do I automatically draft on-my-way texts for pressure washing customers?
Every morning WebRun opens Workiz, reads the first job for each technician, and drafts a courteous on-my-way text for each customer via Twilio. The drafts are posted to your Slack dispatch channel so a human can review and approve each message before any customer is contacted.
- Every customer gets a personalised arrival heads-up, without the technician typing anything
- Dispatchers review all drafts in one Slack message each morning
- No texts go out without human approval

Questions, answered
Will it text customers automatically without anyone checking?
No. Every on-my-way text is drafted and posted to Slack for a dispatcher to approve before anything is sent via Twilio. No customer receives a message without human sign-off.
Can the dispatcher edit the message before approving?
Yes. The Slack post shows the full draft text so the dispatcher can adjust the arrival window or wording before giving the go-ahead to send.
What if a job gets rescheduled after the drafts are prepared?
The dispatcher sees the draft in Slack before it is sent, so they can simply decline to send it if the job has moved. WebRun will prepare fresh drafts the following morning.
