See which coating jobs beat or blew the estimate

Every Monday, WebRun opens OnRamp for the coating jobs completed last week, reads the actual labor, powder, and costs booked in QuickBooks, compares each job to its original estimate, and writes a Google Sheet report ranking jobs by variance so the ones that came in over budget are easy to see and reprice.

In short

How do I compare coating job costs against the estimate each week?

WebRun opens OnRamp every Monday and lists the coating jobs completed last week with their estimates. It reads the actual labor, powder, and costs booked in QuickBooks, compares each job to its estimate, and writes a Google Sheet report ranking jobs by variance, so the work that came in over budget is easy to see and reprice.

  • Every completed job shows estimate versus actual each week
  • Jobs that blew the estimate rank to the top for repricing
  • A rolling trend shows which customers or parts erode margin

Questions, answered

Does WebRun change any cost or invoice in QuickBooks?

No. WebRun only reads the actual costs already booked in QuickBooks and the estimates in OnRamp, then writes a comparison to a Google Sheet. It never edits an invoice, a cost, or an estimate. Both systems stay untouched as your source of record.

How does it match a cost to the right job?

It matches on the job or work order reference shared between OnRamp and QuickBooks, lining each booked labor and powder cost up against the original estimate. Jobs whose actuals ran over the estimate are ranked to the top so pricing problems are obvious.

Who sees the report?

The variance report lives in your Google Sheet for your team only. WebRun never shares job costs, margins, or estimates outside your shop, so sensitive pricing data stays internal.
