Flag long press changeovers before they eat your shift

Every morning before the shift starts, WebRun opens EFI, compares each consecutive pair of jobs on the day's press schedule for ink, substrate, plate, or die differences, and posts your crew a Slack list of the changeovers coming up ranked by how long they'll take.

In short

How do I prep my crew for long press changeovers before they happen?

WebRun scans today's press schedule in EFI for changeovers before the shift starts. It compares each pair of back-to-back jobs for ink, substrate, plate, and die differences, then posts your crew a Slack list ranked by changeover length naming what to pre-stage, so a long changeover doesn't eat into run time unexpectedly.

  • Long changeovers are flagged before the shift, not discovered mid-run
  • Plates, dies, and ink get pre-staged instead of chased down live
  • Crews start each changeover already knowing what's coming

Questions, answered

Does it reorder the press schedule to reduce changeovers?

No. WebRun only reports what's already scheduled in EFI. A scheduler still decides the run order. It flags the changeovers so the crew can prep ahead of time.

How does it decide a changeover is major?

It compares each pair of consecutive jobs' ink, substrate, plate, and die specs in EFI. Any mismatch between them is flagged as a changeover with an estimated time.

Is it safe to run unattended every morning?

Yes. It only reads the schedule and posts an internal Slack message to the crew. Nothing in EFI is changed and no job is affected.
