How do I catch language class no-shows the same day they happen?
Every morning, WebRun finds every unexcused no-show from the previous day in Teachworks, posts an alert with each student's running count to the academic team in Slack, and drafts a friendly check-in email in Gmail for the family. Staff decide whether to send, so outreach stays warm and no family is contacted automatically.
- No-shows get flagged the same morning instead of piling up unnoticed
- Repeat no-shows surface automatically for a policy conversation
- Families get a warm check-in instead of silence after a missed class

Questions, answered
Will it contact the family without staff review?
No. The check-in email is saved as a Gmail draft only. A staff member decides whether and how to reach out, so no family receives a message WebRun sent on its own.
How does it tell an unexcused no-show from an excused absence?
It reads the live attendance status in Teachworks. Any absence already marked excused or pre-notified is left out of the alert entirely.
What happens once a student hits 3 no-shows?
WebRun flags them in the Slack alert as needing a policy conversation. It does not apply any fee or restriction itself, that decision stays with staff.
