Confirm every live site still has a usable recent backup
Every Monday, WebRun signs into GreenGeeks, opens cPanel for each hosting account, checks how recent the last full backup is and whether the databases are included, compares disk usage against last week, drafts a heads-up email in Gmail for any account without a fresh backup, and posts the health board to Slack.

How do I check that every hosted site still has a recent backup?
Every Monday, WebRun signs into GreenGeeks, opens cPanel on each hosting account, and checks how recent the last full backup is, whether databases are included, and how disk usage has moved. It drafts a Gmail heads-up for failing accounts and posts the health board to Slack, so gaps surface before a restore is needed.
- A missing backup is found on a calm Monday, not during a restore
- Disk growth that has outrun the backup is caught early
- Every client heads-up is reviewed by a person before sending

1
GreenGeeks - check backup age and disk
WebRun opens GreenGeeks to check backup age and disk. - Sign into GreenGeeks and open cPanel for each hosting account you manage
- Find the most recent full backup and record its date and size
- Check that the databases are covered, not just the files
- Read current disk usage and compare it against the figure captured last week
- Mark an account as failing if the newest backup is older than your threshold or disk growth has outrun it
Done when Every account has a backup date, a size, a disk figure, and a pass or fail.
-
2
Gmail - draft the heads-up for owners
WebRun opens Gmail to draft the heads-up for owners. - Draft a short heads-up email in Gmail for each failing account, addressed to the site owner or client
- State the domain, the date of the newest backup, and what is missing
- Leave every email as a draft. WebRun never emails a client on its own, you read it and send
- Skip drafting entirely for accounts that passed
Done when A drafted heads-up is waiting in Gmail for every failing account.
-
3
Slack - post the weekly health board
WebRun opens Slack to post the weekly health board. - Post this week's health board to your hosting channel in Slack
- Show every account with its backup age, backup size, and disk usage
- Put failing accounts at the top with the reason spelled out
- Note the accounts whose disk usage jumped the most since last week
Done when The channel has this week's backup health board for all accounts.
How is each run configured?
Secure by default
Connect once, stays signed in
WebRun signs in once and keeps each session in a persistent environment, so every run picks up right where it left off.
Every action is checked against this policy before it runs.
Questions, answered
Will it run or restore a backup itself?
No. WebRun reads backup dates and disk figures and reports them. Starting a backup, deleting an old one, or restoring a site stays a human action you take in cPanel.
Will it email my clients without me?
No. Each heads-up is left as a Gmail draft naming the domain and the backup date. You review the wording and press send, so no client hears from WebRun directly.
What counts as a failing account?
Any account whose newest full backup is older than the age you set, missing its databases, or where disk usage has grown past what the last backup covered. You choose the age threshold at setup.
