In short

How do I catch asset warranties before they expire?

WebRun checks every asset's warranty end date in UpKeep each Monday and flags anything expiring in the next 60 days. It logs the asset, vendor, and end date to a warranty register and posts a ranked Slack alert, soonest first, so a facilities manager can decide on renewal or replacement before coverage lapses on equipment that still matters.

  • Warranties expiring within 60 days surface before coverage actually lapses
  • Anything expiring within 14 days is flagged in bold for immediate attention
  • A running warranty register stays current without anyone updating it by hand

Questions, answered

Does WebRun renew the warranty or contract itself?

No. It only flags what is expiring and logs it to the register. Renewing coverage or signing a new service contract stays a decision for your facilities manager.

Where does the warranty end date come from?

It reads the warranty end date you have entered on each asset record in UpKeep. Assets without a warranty date set are skipped, not flagged as expiring.

Why a 60 day window?

It gives enough lead time to shop a service contract or budget a replacement before coverage actually lapses. Ask WebRun to widen or narrow the window and it will use your number.
