How do I automatically recall dermatology patients for annual skin checks?
WebRun opens ModMed each morning, identifies patients whose last skin check was over 11 months ago, and drafts personalized recall texts and emails via Twilio. All messages are staged and posted to Slack for staff review. Nothing reaches a patient until a team member approves it, keeping the workflow both efficient and compliant.
- Overdue patients are identified and queued for recall every morning without manual chart pulls
- Staff review and approve every message before it reaches a patient
- Patients with existing appointments are excluded automatically

Questions, answered
Will it send messages to patients without staff approval?
No. All recall messages are drafted and staged for review. Nothing is sent to a patient until a staff member approves each message individually.
Does it handle patient health information safely?
Yes. WebRun only reads recall-relevant fields (name, contact, last visit date) within ModMed and never transmits protected health information to external services without approval.
What if a patient already has an appointment booked?
Patients with a future appointment already in ModMed are excluded automatically each run, so they never receive an unnecessary recall message.
