No. WebRun only reads Chanty and reports what is still open. It never posts a reply in a conversation on your behalf, so the wording always stays yours.
Does it see private direct messages?
Only the conversations the connected Chanty account can already open. You control that by choosing which account WebRun signs in with, and you can limit the run to named channels.
How does it know a mention was answered?
It checks whether any message follows the mention in the same conversation from someone other than the asker, and it re-checks previous rows each morning so answered items close themselves.
